European AI summer school to be held in Ljubljana this month

Ljubljana, 8 July - The Ljubljana Faculty of Computer and Information Science and the Jožef Stefan Institute will hold the first European Summer School on Artificial Intelligence (ESSAI) later this month. The event will see lectures by international experts and a number of courses.

The ESSAI will be running between 24 and 28 July under the auspices of the European Association for Artificial Intelligence. The first lecture will be delivered by Jure Leskovec, a professor of computer science at Stanford University, US.

Over the five days the event will feature 37 courses in seven parallel sections at three different proficiency levels. The courses will cover a wide range of AI areas.

Lecturers will include experts from Stanford, Washington, Oxford, Cambridge, KU Leuven, TU Darmstadt and the Rome Sapienza universities and the French National Center for Scientific Research, and from companies such as Google Deep Mind, Microsoft and VMware Research.
